Churchill Counsels

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.”

Winston Churchill

Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.”

After sharing Winston Churchill’s wonderful quote above about success in an earlier post, I was inspired to find more words of wisdom from him to inspire us on our way today:

“We make a living by what we get, but a life by what we give.”

“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.”

“A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”

“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”

“I am an optimist. It does not seem too much use to be anything else.”

“I am always ready to learn although I do not always like being taught.”

“This is not time for ease and comfort. It is time to dare and endure.”

“Kites rise against the wind—not with it.

“We are masters of the unsaid words, but slaves of those we let slip out.”

“All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.”

“Let our advance worrying become advance thinking and planning.”

“I never worry about action, only inaction.”

“We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight on the fields and in the streets, e shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.”

“Never, never, never give up.”

And now, emboldened and energized, let’s all write on!
