Success Hotline

“The difference between the great and everyone else isn’t
lack of knowledge, it’s lack of effort.”

“The greater the obstacle, the greater the joy in overcoming it.”
Dr. Rob Gilbert

Of all the things that have made a positive difference in my life over the past couple of years, without a doubt, the most helpful and action-provoking for me has been listening to my friend and mentor Dr. Rob Gilbert’s Success Hotline (973.743.4690). I can’t tell you how much his daily inspirational advice has encouraged and supported me in my writing! I’m forever grateful to my wonderful friend Linda D’Amico for introducing me to Rob and his fabulous Hotline. He also has a great blog: GilbertSuccessHoltine.blogspot.com

Every day on his Hotline, Rob shares (for free!) practical and inspiring 3-minute recorded messages you can call up and hear 24/7. With his help, I’ve learned that “action creates attitude” — that I can act my way into doing what I have to do, even when I don’t feel like it. I’ve learned how to fight through down times and manage plateaus. I’ve learned to see failure as feedback. I’ve learned the power of persistence and diligence. I’ve learned how to create valuable new habits — what Rob calls “positive addictions” that have helped me write steadily every day and make real progress toward my goals.

Through Rob, I’ve been fortunate to meet another friend and mentor, Coach Mike Tully, whose advice on deliberate practice and consistency has also been invaluable. I found Rob’s advice so helpful that I interviewed him for my book, Birthing the Elephant. His Hotline inspired me to launch this motivational blog for writers so I could encourage you as he’s encouraged me.

I could go on, but instead, I’ll end with a call to action: Pick up the phone and call the Success Hotline at 973.743.4690 right now — you’ll be glad you did!
