Inner Fierceness

Julia Mancuso is a laid back kind of gal. She loves to train in Hawaii on the beach, but when it comes to competing, she’s all business. When an interviewer asked the superstar skier how she intended to become the most decorated female American skier in Olympic history, she just smiled and said she’d have to “tap into my inner fierceness.”

Inner fierceness: Just love that! We may not be competing in the sports Olympics, but every day we have to get up and compete with ourselves and with the goals we’ve set. No matter where we are in the writing game, we need to tap our inner fierceness to keep going. Here are some of the times when this will serve us well:

When we don’t feel like working even though we know we should. Remedy:
Let’s tap our inner fierceness.

When we hit a rough patch on the page and feel like giving up: Remedy:
Let’s tap our inner fierceness.

When we feel less than energetic and enthusiastic about our day. Remedy:
Let’s tap our inner fierceness.

When things fall apart and we have to regroup and reinvent: Remedy:
Let’s tap our inner fierceness.

When industry trends seem to leave us behind and we feel lost. Remedy:
Let’s tap our inner fierceness.

When we anticipate rejection and feel we’re not ready to face it. Remedy:
Let’s tap our inner fierceness.

When we actually are rejected and have to rebound and go on. Remedy:
Let’s tap our inner fierceness.

When we lose belief in ourselves and feel we don’t have what it takes. Let’s tap our inner fierceness.

OK, so wherever are today, let’s TAP OUR INNER FIERCENESS and write on!
