Trendy words and ephemeral expressions to amuse and edify us:*

Blamestorming: sitting around a boardroom table contemplating what went wrong and who to point the finger at.

Ego-surfing: searching the World Wide Web for your own name.

Fake bake: spray-on or artificially created suntan.

Irritainment: entertainment that is both annoying and compelling.

Middle Youth: time of life for people who have a hard time acknowledging middle age.

Mouse Potato: a person who’s on line constantly or plays video games non-stop.

Sex up: to spice up something in order to make it seem more exciting than it really is.

Slackademic: someone who spends too much time pursuing their education instead of getting a job.

Starter marriage: a brief, unencumbered first marriage that ends in divorce.

Sunset clause: language in a contract or business deal designed to prevent negotiations from going on indefinitely.

Treeware: Any printed publications, including books and newspapers.

And now, entertained and enlightened, let’s all write on!
