“Quicken” — I love this word and its meaning—“to stimulate, excite, inspire.” We’ve all experienced this feeling from time to time, haven’t we? That surge of energy, that flash of insight, that spark of story which sets us off on a journey of discovery.

These moments of quickening can arise from the smallest source of fulfillment and satisfaction: Finding just the write (love this mind mistake!) word to give a sentence flair and snap.
